There is still a lot to discover in the garden of Portugal. From the valleys with characteristic villages, the river valleys, and traditional vineyards where Portugals finest wines are made, to port wine, vinho verde, bacalhau, caldo verde, and frango piri.
You will get acquainted with Portuguese gastronomically well kept secret at Quinta dos Moinhos, where you will stay in one of the charming holiday homes, located in the vineyard. During your stay there is plenty of time for relaxation, exploring the surroundings, and of course for cooking.

The relatively unknown Portuguese cuisine is certainly traditional, sober, but honest, pure and without hussle. The products of the farmer or the own campo, play an important role. In the vegetable garden of the Portuguese the ''incubator'' will certainly not be missing, the ingredient for the famous Caldo Verde.
We visit a market, where the Portuguese women sell their own campo vegetables.
You will also visit the most beautiful wine region of Europe, the Douro. On a famous quinta you will get an extensive explanation and enjoy a traditional Portuguese meal, not missing a wine tasting and port tasting.
On the evening of your arrival you can join us for dinner.
In this week you follow 2 cooking classes in which you will make different entradas/petiscos, um prato principal, and a sobremesa.
In addition, you have plenty of opportunity to make a nice walk, or Porto and Guimarães, both world heritage cities, to visit. Discover the pure life in Portugal !
