10 day trip in North of Portugal
Discover the versatile north of Portugal, where you will find everything you need to quickly forget the hectic everyday life. To get an impression of this still undiscovered piece of Portugal, we have made a tour for you along three different quinta's with Dutch owners which are easily accessible from Porto.
At all three are tranquility, space, a warm personal welcome and culinary pampering of paramount importance. The three locations are located in areas where you can make beautiful hikes. There are several cultural excursions from the three locations.

- Mesão Provesende - Provesende - Douro (3 nights)
- Quinta da Geia - Aldeia das Dez - Beiras (3 nights)

Excluded: Flight Netherlands-Portugal v.v. transport in Portugal (rental car possible to book with us), meals not mentioned in the program, personal expenses.

In the garden of Portugal, the green province of Minho, you will find Quinta dos Moinhos. You will stay in one of the attractive holiday homes situated in the authentic vineyard, with the for this region so well known standard grapes. From the quinta you will get acquainted with the World Heritage cities of Porto and Guimarães, but also Amarante and Braga are definitely worth a visit. Walking possibilities are also abundant here, in the Serra do Alvão, Serra da Cabreira or the more famous National Parque do Peneda da Gêres. After all these activities, the saltwater pool will cool you down!
In the middle of the port area with its traditional terrace construction, you will stay with Ronald and Jet in one of the rooms at Mesão Provesende, a cosy B&B in the protected village of Provesende. The surroundings invite you to stroll through the vineyards, take a nice train ride along the Douro or take a boat trip. Also visit Vila Real with the Palacio de Mateus or the station of Pinhão, with its famous tile tableau. End the day with a delicious meal and a glass of Vintage Port or a glass of red wine.
The stay in Central Portugal with our Dutch colleague Fir Tiebout near Quinta da Geia is an 18th century country house in the village of Aldeia das Dez, with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool. Located on a slope of the Serra da Estrela. Discover rugged rock formations, deep ravines, unspoilt nature and beautiful flowers in spring. Also here many walking possibilities, and beautiful ancient villages and hamlets.
Of course the tour can be adapted to your own wishes. Order of the route can be changed due to availability. This trip can be booked all year round except for July and August.
